Alkalize the body. Eat 80 percent whole foods and green veggies, and limit yourself to 20 percent refined or processed foods, meat, alcohol and sugar.

Focus on food-state vitamin C sources: lemons, kiwis, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and citrus.

And ideal for the fall, eat vitamin A-rich foods: carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and pumpkin.

Go the extra mile — eat superfoods like blueberries, raw cacao and goji berries, and herbs such as elderberry, echinacea, garlic, ginseng, lemon balm, aloe and mushrooms: reishi, shiitake and maitake.

Follow nature’s guidance with good sleep in a dark room, free from electronics. Rise and fall with the sun as best as possible. Speaking of the sun, enjoy that midday glow! Five to 10 minutes is a good average for those with fair skin.

Exercise regularly. Three times per week, 20 to 60 minutes at a time, with an activity you love to do. Practice healthy relationships. Self-care and emotional support boost and maintain physical health.
